Thomas Cook Flight Price Change

Hi, I booked a flight mid November to Larnaca through Thomas Cook and I paid £129 plus the cost of adding on luggage and now they are offering an identical flight on the same day but departing one hour later for £61.99, less than half of what I paid. Is there any point in trying to get some of my money back or are Thomas Cook bad for matching their own prices?
Thanks

Are you sure it is going to Larnaca? the reason i ask is we have just been to Cyprus from Newcastle with Thomson and they had two flights out within one hour of each other but when i checked one was going to Larnaca but the other one was going to Phafos.

Very unlikely they would have two flights so close together.

Irrespective, you have no right to a refund. They may give you a voucher if you complain, but they don't have to.
  • You won't get any money back. It's not a matter of not matching their own prices. A price match can't be done months apart. Flight prices fluctuate, sometimes more than once a day. If you'd have looked and they'd have gone up would you be willing to the difference?

I suspect you're already travelling in that later flight.
