Hi,
A bit of background - i look after 2 accounts my own and my dads broadband accounts. I phoned BT to let them know i was leaving due to the price increases on both accounts.
My account has been sorted but BT are charging my dad a cancellation fee as they say we didn't let them know we were leaving.
How can i get around the cancellation fees?
Please help
Thanks
Rizuk

Cancellation charge or early termination charge ?, you only get a cancellation charge if you are removing broadband from the line completely, migration to another provider shouldn't attract the cease fee, however , if you said you were moving and we're still in the minimum term of a contract, then early termination fees apply, unless you advise them within a set period of your intention to move due to price increases....unless the account is in your name, I doubt you can cancel someone else's account, unless you have enduring power of attorney0
