Merging TOISA?

Options
Hi!
I've got a TOISA with Portman and an cash ISAbond with N/Wide.

Does anyone out there know if I can merge the two and if so can i only move the capital out of the TOISA or the whole amount?

To be honest don't really know what I'm talking about anyway!!!

Assuming whoever you intend moving to will accept transfers in, you should be able to transfer the entire TOISA.

You can merge TOISA with ISA under ISA rules (because a 'TOISA' has 'ISA' status and ISA's can be merged.) But since this normally comes about as a result of a transfer the 'ISA' holder will have to agree to this first (because they always have discretion over any ISA transfers-in)

In the case of Nationwide there is a good reason to merge ISAs and TOISAs That's because Nationwide has tiered interest rates. If you hold £X in a NW ISA and £Y in their TOISA you won't necessarily get the same rate on as you would on a balance of £X+£Y in a single NW ISA
