Natwest, can I pay bills using savings account?

I know you didn't mention DDs but I did. Your response to my question - which Natwest savings accounts support Direct Debits - was an apology (what for?) and that Natwest use the terminology online payment now a days. It would have been better if you had just said that you don't know.I've not mentioned anything regarding direct debits. The Op ask about paying bills from a savings account and I've advised they can send a bill payment via a savings account as grumbler as also stated.

No, it wasn't "simply", as you quoted stclair's "You can send bill payments from a savings account."Archi_Bald wrote: ».... - I simply asked the question which Natwest savings accounts support DDs. I wasn't aware that it is now not allowed to ask simple questions.
If it was a general question, I don't see any point in asking this particular person, especially as we all know that for saving accounts DDs, even if possible, are rather an exception than a rule.0 -

Non ...... I hope that helps.
I was merely just correcting the terminology for online/bill payments.
The First reserve savings account used to support Direct Debits though until June 2013.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
As "this particular person" is an RBS employee, I thought now would be as good a time as any to ask the question that I asked. I have been using Savings accounts with DDs for many years and know why I asked the question. As I said, I was unaware that it is now not allowed to ask simple questions without your prior permission - perhaps you could write a guide about what questions are allowed to be asked, when and of whom? That is assuming that I am allowed to ask you that questionIf it was a general question, I don't see any point in asking this particular person, especially as we all know that for saving accounts DDs, even if possible, are rather an exception than a rule.
