My bad entry 3. You have so many numbers qualifications it is confusing. But on cv say level 2 English (equivelant to gcse a-c grade)
Level 2 maths (awaiting result, equivalent to gcse a-c grade)

I don't think he will cope with the stress of an acsess course. Then uni after that. It's really demanding and stressful and if you can't take basic advice from us and see it from the posts I doubt your ready for uni.

In uni you need to seek advice and read between the lines and read alor of research and self study. It's very different from college your self reliant on study your not told to do this and that you need to be independant

With a GCSE equiv. in English or Maths, he could do an Access to Higher Education diploma. It would take one year. However, it's fairly fast paced and you need to study multiple subjects at once. It's not clear if they're ready for this.

Sam - What do you want to study at uni? Have you looked at the entry requirements?

I want to study Travel & Tourism in Uni. And next year i'm going on to Level 3 and then i want to do the extended diploma the year after.

I employ staff and have no idea what any qualifications are outside of GCSEs, A-levels and Degrees.

I am an adult education tutor, I agree, the lists of qualifications can be confusing.

    This should help.

I used to have a really good at a glance spreadsheet, for the same purpose, but it's probably out of date now.

    1) is a silly reason. The competition with your brother is all in your head and a degree in Tourism will not bring all the girls to the yard.

    2) Which job, specifically, are you working toward? Have you checked that a degree in tourism is the best way to get this job?

I note from your other posts that you're eager to be in work and earning money, so it's important to be sure that all these courses you're doing are taking you somewhere specific that you couldn't get through relevant experience.

I don't mind where i work, it could be a shop, a hotel receptionist, cabin crew or a waiter like hospitality.

But i need to go to Uni because you have no idea how much i need to beat my stepbrother, i need a girlfriend like he has, i need to be able to have a car like him.

For god sake uni won't give you a girlfriend. I went to uni and don't have a boyfriend. Going to uni won't beat your bother.

I really don't think you are suited for uni. Plus you need to get past the application stage which includes a personal stament of why you want to go on the courses I doubt to get a girlfriend and to beat my brother will get you on the course.

It's a demanding uni and I don't think you have the skills to do it

Life is not a competition. We spend our younger years being compared to each other, graded against each other, and eventually you reach a point where you stop caring what others think or do. Aim for that point, it's far less stressful.

(My brother earns twice as much as me, has a house worth twice as much as mine and is happily married. That's all good, none of that is a reason for me to be upset or angry.)
