That's not the point; it doesn't matter what they go on to do, a GCSE remains a low level qualification aimed at 16 year olds, regardless of grade. "A" level could be regarded as intermediate and a degree as high-level.
If you say its a low level qulification what do you expect me to do then0 -
Yes, but the employers don't know that. They just see no GCSEs, gaps in your CV (?) and doing a basic qualification at 24 and mentally fill in the blanks themselves.
Writing your CV is like marketing a product--you have to present the product (i.e. you) well to make them want it. Since your situation is a bit complicated, you could really do with having someone look at your CV. The Job Centre might be able to point you to someone who can help you (the Job Centre themselves can be a bit hit and miss with CV help).
What do you mean i'm doing a basic qualification, i'm not doing a basic qualification, I have worked really hard this year to pass my exams and they are not basic.0 -
but everyone who goes through college has to do a level 2-level 3 course don't they otherwise they don't get into uni0

Here you go this is what everything is equivalent to

Entry level 2 is equivalent to 9-11 years of age as I have said in my post before.
Level 2 qualification without the entry is equivalent to gcse a-c
Level 1 is equivalent to gcse d-g.
Found this on google. I'd suggest doing equivalent to level 2 in math. You can do gcse for free I. College for maths and English.Mortgage free wannabe

I don't expect you to do anything. It doesn't matter to me.
It's better to have a GCSE than not to have one, but if you do get any at the age of 25 (or whatever), don't specify when you got them at 25 unless you have to. You are supposed to be more capable at 25 then you are when you are 16, and GCSEs are designed and targeted for 16 year olds.0 -
When I went to college I had my GCSEs so I did a level 3 qualification to then progress to uni but without GCSEs i very much doubt you will get into uni. You need at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent to get into uni and that's before the level 3 qualification.
Your qualifications are very very basic as explained above.Mortgage free wannabe

Also how the heck to do you expect employers to know every single qualification. They are human you know. They will know the mainstream qualifications so they need to be told what they are equivalent to.Mortgage free wannabe

I employ staff and have no idea what any qualifications are outside of GCSEs, A-levels and Degrees.0
