Yeah that's what I thought. The shop owner is a family friend so this is where it gets awkward!0

He may be a family friend, but he is not being very friendly. He is not being helpful to you (friend or not), so maybe time to take your friendly gloves off and let him know that he needs to remedy this for you.0

Be aware though that those gloves are VERY difficult to get back on afterwards!0 -
Just as an update in case it helps anyone else.
The shop had admitted they were faulty - the manufacturer said they were not. So after a LBA to the shop, we got a refund0 -
Did you get the tiles removed and new tiles fitted? If yes, who paid for the removal and re-fitting?
PS - thanks for updating us ... it is actually quite rare for this to happen.0 -
They paid for the labour, trims etc.
