    Afternoon all,

Happy birthday Dumpling, sounds like a lovely day, you deserve it.

Positive vibes to all who are feeling down, hopefully your situation will improve soon.

So far its been a dull day here, not very cold.......OH and I were out in the field behind the house as we reckoned that Mossy had escaped last night from the fenced area he is allowed ( half acre), he came in with mud all over him, DD1 had to cut hair from his feet.........nothing found so at least sure that he is confined and cant get out to be shot by some sheep farmer whose field he has wandered into!

Not sure whats for dinner tonight, havent taken anything out of freezer, not sure what is in there that might be suitable for fast cooking.

    Hugs to all

    Marie

    Hello all
Dumpling hope it's not too late to wish you a Very Happy Birthday:bdaycake:
    Rant alert !
Yesterday was a disaster from start to finish, including waiting for a hour for DH's oncology injection only to be told they didn't have one there for him . It's not as if it's not important or can be done at anytime for goodness sake and DH gets himself wound up because it's very unpleasant and painful afterwards..So now we have to go through it all again on Thursday ! Won't even mention the debacle with the car parts.:wall:
Sorry everyone, didn't check your posts but yesterday I felt I was on a downward spiral. Feel a bit more upbeat now though, so will read back later.
Tea tonight was some faggots and peas found in the freezer during yesterdays dip, followed by strawberries and cream, lovely !
TA please don't think you are on your own trying to cope with your feelings, the people on here are very supportive and you can always pm me at anytime.
Right off to have a catch up so may be back later.

Evening all - just trying to get myself in the mood to go out! I've lit the woodburner as it's so cold now. The morning and early afternoon were very windy but dry.

I've been surprisingly productive! Firstly I decided to cut the grass, couldn't stand it anymore despite it still being very wet. It's looking fine, a bit mashed but at least I can walk on it without wellies. Then I planted my five potato tubers which have been chitting away on my window ledge since early March. The bag of soil was in the front barn so it all took place there. Now they are labelled up and in the garden. Still in the garden I burnt a load of paperwork though there's still more to do.

Later on I risked a small washing load - two of the white cotton rugs from the living room - and got them out on the line. Before the rain arrived the little one dried off and the large one plonked itself on the lawn as the wind was so high. Now it's drying upstairs on the airer.

Now I'm biding time until I leave for this stupid meeting! :rotfl: The fire is burning so well it'll be difficult to leave it.

A somewhat late Hoppy Birdday Dumpling.

Rosyred many thanks for the turmeric info - I've bookmarked your link. I did see yesterday's thread - about 15 minutes ago :D (I always try to remember to look at the tail end of the previous day's thread, iyswim). I shall deffo look at doing this, as my left knee, left wrist and right shoulder are getting beyond a joke; and I'm finding it harder and harder not to let Mr LW know just how bad the pain is.
I also went to my new flat to take measurements. The lady who is selling has half packed away her stuff so beginning to look less of a home and more of a shell. I'll do the maths today to make sure the furniture on my shortlist fits.
When I was moving house with a load of furniture to take with me, I drew a scale diagram of the rooms in the new place on graph paper, including showing where the doors opened, and made graph paper cutouts of all the furniture, to the same scale, to work out how they'd fit. :o

LW my mum used to do that! When we cleared our family home of 30 years, we found a folder with a graph paper drawing for every room with its "furniture" paper-clipped to it! It did allow her to arrange each room to the best effect for each of us (2 adults plus 4 kids between 4 & 16 when we moved into the house).

Have a hug or two Nannywindow.

Ive not had the best of days, well it was ok until Prodigal turned up for some food. I sent him off with a bag of sandwiches (couldnt see him starve) and a flea in his ear.

Ive just spoken to my eldest Son, we are getting a plan of action together. Prodigals' mental health needs assessing. He will be assessed. We will work together.

I feel better talking to my eldest Son about it. I dont feel so alone.

    Sleep well all.
