iPhone 5c "bricked" after update, need help to understand my rights
Options
I bought my iPhone 5c on 3/1/15 on 2yr EE contract from Carphone Warehouse.
When contract expired I switched to PAYG with EE.
On 27/3/17 I noticed there was an update available: iOS 10.3, so I updated my phone.
Once it had updated I had no cellular connectivity, so I backed up phone to PC and restored to factory settings.
When I tried to restore phone from iTunes on PC it wouldn't get beyond start up screen and iTunes won't recognise phone.
I have spent many hours on phone to Apple Care in past two weeks, they have worked with me to try to resolve this.
Drivers, software and iTunes are all working fine, but the phone will not respond.
I have a visit to Apple Store booked for tomorrow, but would appreciate any help and advice on what my consumer rights are under Scottish/UK law as regards repair/replace and how to move forward from here.
I've read through various threads on here but I am finding it all confusing and difficult to understand.
Thank you in advance

Your consumer rights are with the vendor .
You really need to see what Apple say/ offer .
They are in no way obliged to give you a refund .0 -
Thank you, will see how things go today0

OP I assume Apple have taken you through the steps of holding down the power button/home button and waiting before the 'connect to iTunes' logo appears?
Wonder (as daft as it sounds) if the Lightning cable is faulty; would also assume you've tried another cable? It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Yes, been through all possible start up/reboot modes, even threw it into recovery mode.
Tried different cables/ports too.
Lovely genius man at Apple Store checked it over, plugged it into store computer and it revived!
Must have been a problem with the iTunes on my PC.
Phone working like a charm now and I am breathing easily again!
Thank you to everyone who responded to this, you are stars!0
