10x15cm is ok.
9x13cm is ok.

Can anyone tell me how , or can I vary the sizes of of pics to print 6x9cm and 8x8cm?
OR, am I stuck with the Default sizes of my printer?

Use a photo editor , eg GIMP, Photoshop , Paint etc, create a new blank picture say 9x13, and open your pic in a different window select and copy it , paste it into the blank, centre it, and print it on your chosen size of paper then crop it with scissors/guillotine.

Hi D, the only editor I have is paint, but cannot get the hang of it, even following instructions.:D
When I select my pic from photos, and try to resize it, Using pixels, it goes all to pieces.
I thought pixels were DPI, not resizing? which is my problem, and getting quality good, 3inch x 3 inch, and 2.5 x 3.5 inches?
I,ve never used paint before, ( or other), so, just using expensive ink.
To resize, why do they say, tick pixels? not the %?
    You make it sound Himple:rotfl:
Not for a luddite like me.:)
    Thanks for reply.
probably run out of ink first.:)

Do all your experimenting in black and white, then when you have got a good 'shape' and size, finally print in colour.

If it's an HP printer, you should have "HP Solution Center" as part of the printer's programme.
Click the icon to Open that, go to

    "Settings"-
    "Printer Settings" -
    "Photo Printing Borderless" -

Go to the "Features" Tab -
    "Resize Options" -

Click black arrow - "Custom" -
    - and choose your size.
Don't forget to choose 'Portrait' or 'Landscape'
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

The easy and nasty way is to put it into a word/libre office document and resize it from there, but quality may suffer.

A better way would be to use the free paint.net from https://www.getpaint.net

If you are doing to do this a lot, buy another printer based on ink price, or find compatible cartridges that work with your printer.

Want to do something big, look here at the SAMPLES on https://rasterbator.net/ however I prefer this instead http://posterazor.sourceforge.net/

    HP all in one 3050a.
I don,t seem to have Solution Centre, looked everywhere??

Set Preferences, but, only paper sizes can be changed?
nothing in advanced either.where should solution be?

tried printing from my I-pad using HP app, but cannot find any re-sizing on that.?
As I say, don,t do much of it to be familiar with things.
Normally just use standard settings, and buy frames to suit.

    edit;;
I thought if I print a standard size photo, scan, then Somehow , resize from there, cropping etc????
    Never tried before.
    plus, double printing.
Wifes got house like a Photo Gallery :-)

Hi Joe, did you register your printer with HP when you bought it? Go to

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Deskjet-3050A-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---J611/4311836

    - for Support. The HP page will ID your printer, you can look for solutions.

I have a 7 year old Photosmart C5380, after thinking about the fact that mine is a dedicated Photo printer, that may be why I have HP Solution Center, but I think it is available for any HP printer. Go to "Search all Support" box at top, have your Product No. and Serial No. ready. (Serial No. should be on the back or the base of your printer.)

Yes, I did when I first bought it.
Get e-mails for ink all the time etc.
I have seen Support somewhere, used it in the past, I'm sure, but, as I only use it to print standard Docs, and photo,s, never really messed with it.
    Good printer, but very limited, and ink doesn't last long, especially, colour;
    Still trying, but, no success..
I'm following online instructions as well for odd sizes, using Paint
    .nogo for me.:)
    No David Bailley:-)
OH buys these frames, and forgets size of photos to fit, instead of, vice versa.:-)
perhaps HP only like standard prints?
    will try link:beer:
