Motorola charger doesn't fit new Motorola headset?

I bought a bluetooth headset off ebay for my Motorola v3 & it doesn't fit the charger, are there different kinds of motorola chargers?

Have I bought the wrong bluetooth for my phone, I though they were interchangeable?

I got a Motorola Razr as an upgrade last week and the charger was the same as the one I have with my old Orange SPV

I returned it and got a Motorola V8 today and the charger connection is different. looks almost the same but its thinner

Sorry I should have updated this.

Phone & charger are different sockets/fittings.

I bought a twin adapter from ebay. If goes the fitting end of my V3 power supply & has two short wires coming off it. One for the V3 & one for the Motorola headsets.
