The boys have been really good today, and lots of stuff is bagged up ready for the bin men tomorrow . Still sunny but a bit of a nippy wind is a'blowing atm. Just had a text from DGS Dan in NYC and its 20c at the moment out there and he spent yesterday strolling in Central Park in the sunshine taking photo's for his work project.
Just having a well earned cup of coffee and waiting for my son-in law to get in from work then I can go home and put my feet up

Nice day so dug out a dress from the wardrobe and sandals.
We leave for Italy on Thursday so I went to York this afternoon to collect some euros, having first checked exchange rates and followed Martin's tips.

Do something nice for yourself even if it is just putting your feet up with a good book.
I passed Mand S so treated myself to a dine in offer for tonight and tomorrow's lunch and also found a new book by a favourite author for only £2 so very chuffed.

I ordered tumeric from Am***n and got a big bag for about a fiver. The paste is called golden paste and you can mix it up yourself with a little oil or else mix a spoon into a little orange juice.
Have eaten too much so getting changed into something comfy and putting my feet up. Have dragged out the wheelie bins for tomorrow's collection so don't have to dash around in the morning.

Afternoon all
We are through Banbury where we had lunch and stocked up on the essentials, chocolate and crisps for dgs.
We are moored up and will stay here by Nadkey bridge unit l the morning, we are finding most other boaters very friendly and helpful though we have managed to upset a couple of fishermen who had just set up an extensive amount of equipment by a lock, they were most aggrieved that we and a other dozen boats needed to pass through said lock.
Have a good day everyone.

HH, way back in 1997, we rented a 78' barge with me & ex, two boys, my best mate & hubby and my brother & his fianc!, on the Bridgewater canal. As we got nearer to Manchester there was a fishing match going on and it was hilarious watching each rod go up in turn as we pootled along as slowly as we could...and then about 4 hours later came back and disturbed them all again :rotfl:2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Lame Wolf, this is also called chocolate crunch. It is much loved by those who went to school much later than I did. I don't like it.
I was originally asked if I could make it a couple of years back but could not find a recipe for normal domestic consumption, the ones immediately available were for industrial quantities. For example, 452 pounds of flour, 78 spoonfuls of cocoa, and so fortH.
Here is the recipe, someone might like it, it is closer to a sort of biscuit than a cake.
Mix 8oz plain flour
2 oz cocoa
4 oz granulated sugar
4 oz melted margarine.
Mix it thoroughly, you think it won't mix up but it will.
Press into a baking dish, bake at gas 4 for 30 min, cool a bit before cutting into squares.

Could be worse, you could have identified yourself as a troll.
