Goods Not Collected from Store

It's Peacocks. I've just found this on their Website regarding Click & Collect:
Please note: You will need to collect your order within 28 days from the date you receive your collection e-mail. If you do not collect your order within this time, we will expire your order and process a refund back onto your payment card.
I've never used them so can't say what their process is, have you bought from them in this way before? If so what did you have to do in store in order to collect?0 -
I've never used Peacocks this way before, but other clothing retailers want to see my ID when I collect, usually the payment card

When you visit the store to collect your order, please make sure that you take your payment card and a note of your order number.

It's from 2013 so maybe it's an old system that they just haven't got around to changing in the store I use.
I've never been charged and given a penny, they just do acpin check.0 -
On what date did you receive the email telling you your order was ready to be collected?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

From your OP I had presumed it would have been later.
Next step is to see how they respond.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across as misleading, it took almost 2 weeks for the goods to be delivered to one of their own stores.
I know the ball is now in their court and I am ready to wait for their response, but wanted to forearm myself with my rights. Maybe I won't need to argue, but if I do, I will post back here for advice before I respond.
Thank you0 -
Your really should have been more proactive in November and let them know you had changed your mind about the order because of the delay. Five months down the line is way too long to try to sort it out. Hopefully Peacocks will cut you a bit of slack and refund.0

I think your rights are quite clear: you are entitled to a refund if you didn't get the goods.
The issue is not with your rights, but with the evidence. The store's systems show that you have had the goods. If you are going to get your refund, you are going to have to persuade somebody to believe that you haven't had the goods. That 'somebody' is the staff at the store's CS centre, or the staff at the credit card you paid with, or a court if you take it that far.
I believe you, but sadly I'm not one of the somebodies who can give you a refund. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
