Employer looking overtime?

A guy works 40 hours a week in a skilled position that has been salary devalued for 15 years is called lazy.
Modern Britain. Reacting exactly how a government who's wage devaluation record since the global financial crash is worsened only by Greece wants it to.0 -
The problem with being in the benefits trap is that when the trap door opens the only person in the **** is the individual.0

I think if you read all my posts the message is work smarter.
Sitting in a dead end job waiting 35 years for retirement
Reliant upon the state,madness.
You slate my view. So feel free to give the OP some guidance...........
What guidance? He doesn't want the moon. All he asked was whether he could be forced to work overtime when he doesn't want to.
He's reliant on the state because the state has designed things that way, in order to divert public money into the pockets of the wealthy. Why should he have to work more hours because you don't like that?0 -

Thought as much. Usual bleating and no answers.0 -

If you want answers then ask a coherent question.
I answered your last one, I don't have guidance for the OP's life because he isn't asking for any and unlike you, I am not going to give him a sanctimonious lecture.
What other question do you want answering? if it's how to improve the system, I have answered that already. A proper living wage. But that's nothing to do with the OP.0 -

So what do you deem a living wage?0 -
This is just petty.
In my place it's why we have rotational carp so no body works the same times every week to be able to even facilitate a 2nd, 3rd job - so no not everyone can just better themselves, unless you are going for a job interview as if the opportunity don't coming a knocking - you have to try to build your own door. Which I'm sure the OP is trying to do.
Even on nearer 17k I can get to court summons in the wrong months of a year - the cost of living is going up all round. If you've an employer when the 'office/building rents' aren't cheap what ya gonna do...
As much as I hate it I would accept the overtime before the boss rehires either someone who will work only hours on their terms so the state gets another battering or as you're replacement - or make a real solid case my wages need to be on the up.0 -

No no. What do you think. That was the question.
All issues,no solutions.0 -

Don't be so ridiculous. I pointed you at a source that spends time and effort researching this question. Why would I think my random opinion was superior to that? Only a fool would think they could pluck a figure out of the air without putting in the work.
Now, for the third time, start a new thread if you want to discuss this as it has nothing to do with the OP.0
