Electrical issue with all my USB devices: who can fix that?

I have all kinds of small USB connectivity or delay issue with any USB device on my PC. Something electrical with the motherboard I suppose, presumably something simple to fix for someone who knows. I've been dragging this super annoying problem for at least 2 years because I have no idea what to do about it. I don't want to bring it to some shop and leave it there for a day or two. But what else could I do?

If you have a local free newspaper or community advertising leaflet, there are often people advertising in there for computer repairs. Before using them ask to speak to previous customers if you are worried about them. You could also check your local shop for postcard adverts but be careful which ones you choose!!0

USB pins often get damaged, you could have a go at separating the pins with something plastic or better still buy a separate USB card on ebay.
For example,

Thanks! I didn't know such thing existed tbh
I'm curious though what's the advantage of PCI USB card over self-powered USB hub? And, if my machine has USB power issues, will these issues necessarily go away using any of these 2 solutions? 0 -
Well I chose those because they were at least USB3 which are faster.
I have no idea why your USB is not working, could be bad contact or the controller on the motherboard.
In my experience it is bad contact on pins which look like this.
The type-A plug (left) and type-B plug (right)
Pin 1 VBUS (+5 V)
Pin 2 Data−
Pin 3 Data+
Pin 4 Ground

On Laptops I have just swapped them out, for a desktop just as easy to add a card because Mobo will not have separate PCB the way a laptop does.
Right. If it's bad contact, will a USB card or USB hub solve the problem in your opinion?0 -
It won't fix the broken one, but if you still have a working USB port, you could plug a hub into it, and a USB card would definitely work (if you've got the space).Right. If it's bad contact, will a USB card or USB hub solve the problem in your opinion?0 -

But, it's not one of my USB posts that doesn't work well. It's a general issue: no matter which port I use or which device I plug in, the problem occurs (randomly, from time to time).0 -
If all ports are affected, that would seem to rule out something electrical... AFAIK, the pc effectively has an internal hub, and all the different physical ports are connected to that. (But there might be multiple internal hubs.) So a phyiscal problem with one port shouldn't affect other ports.
Unless, perhaps, noise on one physical port means that the controller is constantly having to suspend what it's doing to try to identify some ghost device that might be attaching and detaching ?
A driver issue could also explain these symptoms - what made you deduce it was electrical ?
Anyway, putting in a PCI USB card would give an entirely separate usb controller and set of usb ports, which should operate entirely independently of the motherboard one.0 -

OK. So we need a fix and/or a workaround. Whilst you're trying to find the fix, the workaround would be the PCI USB card. A USB hub won't be any use, as it would have needed a working USB port to plug into, so we can rule that out.0 -

This post may have been overlooked. Which AV do you use?
What do you mean by "USB device"?0 -
