I posted my renewal by normal first class post on Friday 14th Sept, received new passport Thursday 20th. 4 working days!

I sent mine off in November and it took about one week.0

fingers crossed then holdiays in April and everyone sying i should have sent it ages ago.... but first one got rejected, had to get new photos and new birth certificate.Official DFW Nerd number 227

I did my renewal with the check and send service on Saturday - I'm hoping it'll be as quick as some of you have found as I was planning to fly on Feb 2nd! The post office lady said my head was borderline too big in the picture but she let it though - the passport people better not be super strict when they look at my photo!
If you're worried you can always email the passport folk using their tracker service and they should let you know what stage it's at.
