    Wait longer?

    Ring at different times?

If someone was just about to try to claim several thousand minimum off me and i had insurance for such eventualities i would be trying VERY hard
I'm a teacher, so ringing at different times isn't always an option - I can't just tell my pupils to go to another teacher so I can make a phone call.

For a week I tried about ten times a day at different times, and couldn't get through.

I then sent an e-mail, and received a reply confirming that they had received my e-mail.

As I have a confirmation that they have received my e-mail, which detailed all information relative to the bump, I have assumed all this time that they have been dealing with it.

BTW: Last night took 37 minutes to answer, and another 30 minutes to give the person the details. Although it wasn't Axa I spoke to, but a company they subcontract to take messages when Axa are otherwise unavailable.

Why would I bother writing a letter? I have a reply from them confirming they have received my e-mail.

The only time I had to phone Direct line to ask for info about making a claim, I called their claims hotline which just kept ringing. After 15 minutes I gave up and called their quote line and surprise surprise, it was answered on the first ring.
I then asked to be transferred to the claims department and I was speaking to them a few seconds later.

I had a similar thing once with The AA ... I couldn't get through on the listed number (for querying renewal prices) so called the Sales line and got through straight away.
