How long from recieving mortgage offer to getting keys?

That's good going! It's a relief when a valuation is booked within 2 weeks of application, let alone have the offer out.
Woolwich particularly slow at the moment it seems.
Our top lenders are;-
Halifax
NatWest
Santander
Nationwide
Virgin Money
Skipton

I hope that isn't the case for us!
Literally endless reasons so far! Considering it started off looking like it would be within about four weeks total, then around twelve weeks total, and now I'm told we're almost at the end but I don't even believe it anymore...!0 -
My last few purchases have taken 3-4 months from acceptance of offer (the formal "memo of sale") to completion. All were straightforwad (no problems with searches or title). Some involved "ported" mortgages, or a small mortgage top up, so here's hoping you'll be in sometime June/July?.0

Not to rain on your parade, but you may not get keys at all. The survey may uncover something that means the bank wont lend, unacceptable searches etc.
Take each day as it comes and try not to get ahead of yourself.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
If it's freehold it should go through with less hiccups.
I've not completed my mortgage application but the solicitors have started searches cos they received the contract pack from seller's sols.
It's no completion no fee cos I went via a comparison site so I guess it's OK.0 -

Almost certainly somewhere between a month and a year.
And, in case anyone was wondering, that isn't a facetious answer. It's a realistic one.You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -
Between one month and a year is certainly applicable in my case.
2 of us in the chain, i've a cash buyer behind me and an empty property ahead of me.
So far it's taken 7 1/2 months and the seller ahead of me has given me 1 week to exchange or he pulls out.
The problem ?
Buyers solicitors.

Taken us just over 4 months, No chain either side. It's a frustratingly slow process.0

It depends on what the results of the searches contain, how many enquiries your solicitor will raise with the sellers solicitor, and how quickly these are responded to.
I'm afraid it is impossible for anyone to give you any meaningful answers, as there are too many variables, and too many events that will be specific to your particular purchase for others to accurately guesstimate.0
