Sky's £60 credit for new customers

Hi
I signed up to Sky Broadband and Line Rental, taking advantage of the deal advertised on MSE for new customers, which expired 24th March.
This included
I'm pretty sure MSE calculated the total cost for one year to be as follows:
One year line rental at half price: £9.49 x 12 = £113.88
Less £60 credit
Total cost = £53.88
However, now that I'm signed up, I see that the half price line rental only starts after the credit has been used up (which will be in about 3 months rather than 6). I'm not sure this was made clear anywhere on SKy's website, and it seems MSE were misled by the deal too.
So the actual price is about £82.
Anyone else feel they've been misled out of about £30 here?

As a customer who cancelled and had tv switched off I got 75% off tv , plus £100 credit and the discount started straight away, with nothing to pay until the credit is used.
I'd call CS and complain.0
