When to tax new car?

It'll only happen if the new keeper taxes it using the actual V5C doc ref, not the V5C/2.I guess my original concern (in part) was that if the seller now informs DVLA that the vehicle is sold, he will get a refund of the £245 I have just paid in tax. I have heard of this happening.0 -
Ah, riiiiiiiiiiight. I see it now. It'll only happen if the new keeper taxes it using the actual V5C doc ref, not the V5C/2.
So if I have taxed it using the number on the green slip, it will stay taxed in my name. That's what I wanted to hear.
Cheers. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
