Oh, and I'm still waiting for an eBay call back
Thinking further, the option usually goes after you mark as dispatched. From memory you can mark as undispatched and then cancel (within the 30 days). Hopefully you will be ok this time0 -
The buyer wasn't automatically refunded and the paid symbol went to two lines which said due to the dispute the buyer was blocked from paying.
I finally spoke with eBay - I gave up on the call back and phoned them - and was told to just refund in full through PayPal.
Will wait to see if I get a defect. I just don't want the buyer to get a black mark as it was totally my faultYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

The only cancellation options either put the blame on the buyer or said I was out of stock. There wasn't any option to cancel at the buyers request.
Will have to wait to see what happens. One thing is for sure, I won't be selling any more lighters. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I always cancel through the options and get 3 choices for the reason - out of stock, buyer asked to cancel or problem with address.
It sounds like you did it through the resolution centre which I have not done for a long time now.0 -
Did you select cancel from the transaction options drop down list (the little blue arrow at one end of line) or did you do it through the resolution centre?

Think I went through the transactions option, but I could be wrong. The CS rep was sure I won't receive a defect, but I won't be surprised if I do.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

This used to be what happened. However I see recently, someone opened a case for me on .com and it automatically opens a case on .co.uk. So it maybe in the process of changing or maybe it works that way for some eBay sites and not others.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
