So the advice is to ignore private parking fines....

Hi,
Read the sticky, had a quick browse and my key take away was 'ignore the paring fine for the private parking company on private land'.
ok, fine - will give that a try.
My follow question then is, what will happen if I continue to park in the parking space and ignore lots of park fines/letters?
Cheers

NO!
You obviously didn't read the NEWBIES thread properly. The advice to ignore has not been given on this site since the law changed in 2012.
... and it is not a fine!I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Please educate yourself properly by reading the Newbies Sticky, not the woefully out of date MSE thread.
Also, if you ever get a ticket, confine your reading to recent threads for any PPC to keep any info current.

Hi, I'm new to forums so bare with me
I was hoping if someone could give me advise on my parking fine, about 8 months ago I received a fine from UK Car Park Management Ltd which I refused to pay. I walked away from my vehicle for no longer than a 5 minutes or so came back to my car with a man taking pictures he wasn't in any uniform wearing casual clothing, asked him are what are you doing why are you taking pictures, are you a warden and should I be worried. Which he replied no I'm not a warden. I think he assumed I would have been away for longer so put him in a bit of a shock. Next thing you know got a parking fine sent to my house which I appealed, got denied appealed again( I appealed via letter because that's the only option they gave). Didn't get a reply and then got a letter from debt recovery plus(DRP). I rang them they said we don't deal with appeals that gave me a number for uk car park and they hung up on me on numerous occasions after I told them I want to talk about my appeal. So I decided to ignore all letters from DRP, Now 8 months down the line gladstones solictors have sent me a letter saying to pay the amount within 14 days of our client may instruct us to take legal action.
If anyone can give advise it would be much appreciated. My0 -

My advice would be to copy and paste the above and start your own thread, otherwise it will be lost. Have a read of the Newbies sticky threads to acquaint yourself with what is required. It is highly likely that you will be sued in court so you need to start taking this seriously and gathering evidence for your defence.
Good luck.0 -

It is not a fine.
As above, please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES, especially the section about court, then start your own thread.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
