BW Legal First Letter

  • Hi Mr NJA

The point that the regulars are driving at is that Airport Land is covered by Byelaws.

This means that the parking company cannot actually pursue you, only the land owner can, and then only for "trespass" where you would have to compensate them for what you did.

If you could calculate what that compensation should be you are a better man than the rest of the legal system. Maybe £5?

The parking company are pretending that they have authority to charge you, hoping you will pay up under the threat of court action (that they cannot actually take).

Once you have gone 6 Months from the initial parking infringement the case is timed out. You can then write to whoever is chasing you by then (BW Legal etc) and tell them it is a Byelaws case, and is timed out, and to stop using your personal data.

Search the forum for "airport cases", not necessarily BW Legal, read a few other threads and all will become clear.
  • Many thanks paulstevens that is very helpful

Just for information they are trying to pursue a case against me for stopping on a road not parking. The other case I have found (through a work colleague) is a parking case.

    Thanks for the advice.
  • Hi NJA,

I understand that your were not "parked". That is why I recommended searching for Airport cases.

This issue happens at Liverpool, Luton etc. All the same theme.

I just wanted you to understand that no Airport cases have ever been to court, and that the parking company will eventually give up, as they know they have no actual right to pursue you. - Happy Reading

  • Hi all again,

I have received a 2nd letter from BW legal and I wish to bat it back to them as I am refusing to acknowledge I was the driver (as I wasn't the driver). I have looked through many threads and am struggling which response I should send back.

Any suggestions or links to an appropriate thread would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on what the letter is saying. Lots of BW letters have been shown on here, as well as answers to them. A member of Pepipoo named 'Gan' created quite a few replies so look them up.

They will send u at least 3 letters in an attempt to gain money from you - that's what they do, otherwise they don't get paid for their services.

You have already been told several times that nobody has been taken to court for an airport 'no stopping' ticket so u would be incredibly unlucky if they picked you out of the 1000's of unpaid ones.

So basically, stop worrying - it may never happen.

    Corrected that! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Got a 3rd letter from BW saying I had never replied to any of their earlier letters (which I have and they acknowledged in one of their earlier letters).

I will find another reply to them.

Just got a letter from BW acknowledging my recent communications and that they have noted my position.

They say that they will now seek their clients instructions to issue county court proceedings for recovery of the balance.

Is this a significant letter that I should reply back to ?
