I sincerely doubt that the first time the drivers identity was brought up was by the sheriff, in any case 200 tickets casts a massive doubt.

When dealing with these things, especially if it should come to court, you need to deal in jargon, you need to have an understanding of the difference between Fines, Penalties and Parking charge notices, if you represent the level of advice that this lady has been offered then its no surprise things haven't exactly gone right

People are willing to help, however you seem to be happier venting off steam and having a rant.
Can I ask - do you have any other issues if you have then its not a problem as it can be worked with and adjustments can be made.

For your interest, lamilad recently won two cases against Excel who are the main honcho of VCS and helped a third to win This was in England which is much harder than scotland

There was never any libel from coupon-mad, she is one of the members who constantly gets people off these fake claims.

This site is a winner but there is nothing we can do when someone collects some 200 tickets
We all feel sorry for her but research is the key word and that clearly was not done.

She lost because she revealed she was the driver and that was all VCS needed.

I am totally unsure why you would expect anyone here to contribute

Can I ask - do you have any type of learning disability such as aspergers/autism or anything else? if you have then its not a problem as it can be worked with and adjustments can be made.

You say that people are willing to help, well I know a fair few people through Facebook (which is how I found this) are reading this who know Carly so I will ask:

1) Libel against Carly is DELETED
2) Carly is treated with a bit of DIGNITY
3) Funds are raised to help Carly pay her debt by the people who tell everyone that it is OK ago ignore the debts

For the record I am NOT INVOLVED IN THIS Case as clearly I am no expert compared to you people, I am also unable to collect funds for Carly due to my financial Situation.

I am not austistic but thanks for your concern, please now start to encourage your peers to treat Carly with dignity and respect as well. !

In saying that, if you read further back, there could be a data breach by VCS
Carly needs to contact the DVLA with a request as to how many times VCS accessed the DVLA data base.
When she has that answer, get Carly to post on here

As said much earlier, had Carly come to this forum in the first place, she would probably not have this problem.

Got to admire your audacity. You repeatedly insult this entire community of volunteers who give up their time on a daily basis to advise people then ask them to dig deep to help someone who didn't even come here for advice. This group (and Pepipoo) have saved motorists tens of thousands over the years, probably millions and Coupon Mad is personally responsible for a vast portion of that.

Whose side are you people on?!?? Where is the support for a young lass who is now £24500 in debt to an English firm of scum?!?

We are always on the side of the motorist, and would have been on Carly's side had she come here. No-one is against her now, there's just a general feeling of despair that she was foolish to continue parking there and that she put forward this woeful 'protest' defence that was never going to succeed.

If she had come here she'd have been advised to quote the 'Jopson case' and could have built a defence on forbidding signage/ no contract. That would have given her a real chance but with over 200 tickets to answer for she was never going to look credible in front of a sheriff.

I don't think anyone is bullying Carly. What they are trying to do is work out what the hell happened !
If you read the posts in this thread, you will see that contributors are actively seeking ways that this court decision could be overturned or at least appealed against.

What I would like to see is what has 'happened over the last two years' that led up to the case being heard. Did Carly seek advice from any parking forums such as this one or was the advice to ignore gained from another source ?

The time to start seeking advice and guidance was the day that the first ticket landed on her windscreen, then with some wisdom under her belt she could have made an informed decision whether to continue to park there or not. Allowing her vehicle to accrue 200 tickets at the same location without ever really knowing the outcome was sheer folly, or should I say downright stupid !

If Carly wants help then ask her to post on here to see if there is anything she can be assisted with - if in this case that is possible.

Good luck to Carly.... But how you think you can appeal for contributions after your disgraceful conduct and angry rants on this thread is beyond me.
