AC - you've done really well so far by the sounds of it - but it does take ages to get unpacked and settled in and I don't think this weather helps. It's unbearably hot here despite a wind - but its a warm wind!
I'm finding it hard to sleep at night and then feel tired during the day and I don't have to unpack stuff and shuffle furniture around. Take your time there is no hurry.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Thanks mrs. P
You're right . It's too hot to care . Another week won't kill me .0 -
Received a rather large bill from Vodafone . This prompted me to go to the my Vodafone app. Normally I give up ,as I'm never recognised on the blasted thing .Howevet, after about 40 mins webchat / security codes & texts I can now use it .
After that, I got through to query bill, then got transferred to someone else and eventually got sorted .
As I've moved home , I have a landline pro Rata bill ( or Rasta with this poxy spellcheck ) . It means my bill should be normal next month. Seems sneaky to me, but I'll have to wait till august to make sure . So I've been over an hour sorting this Vodafone malarkey .
Hopefully it's straightforward next time .
Regarding the recycling stuff: I'm gonna cut lots of cardboard up and put it into the empty bin on Friday .Those large boxes although flattened are getting on my nerves .soon I will be able to walk in a straight line in the whole flat0 -
Hi Ac, sounds about right, I would expect to be billed a month line rental in advance0

Thanks Anna
So, a lousy nights sleep. The fan had to be placed in a different part of the room due to me moving things around yesterday for James and myself. I went to Poole this morning to get a few esssentials. The heat is splitting . Glad to be back indoors . Will try to go to the gym tomorrow, as it is supposed to be cooler then . Place is a pigsty but it's cooler than being outside .
Thinking of more storage solutions ..0 -
Hello :hello:
I have spent the last week or so reading all 229 pages of the first thread and the 42 pages of this one, it's been like reading a paperback page turner! There have been many ups, many downs, some laughter and some sorrow. Back on page 29 or so when things got a little heated and toys were throw out of pram I was sad to think it might be the end...so glad it wasn't :j
I feel like I know you all and I am an impostor  Although I don't share many of you life experiences having never actually owned my own home, I have dealt with debt and moved 50 miles south having to find a new house/job/schools/nursery's and so on so I know hoe stressful that can be
AC you have done incredibly well and I am so happy for you! I know you have a way to go weight/health/debt/budget/job and I look forward to reading all about them
What happened to Smodlet? He provided some much needed laughter at time and talks some good sense!
LL please will you be my life guru? You are an amazing inspiration and a straight talker who has even frightened me at times :rotfl:

Hello me
You are a person of great persistence and tenacity, not mentioning totally mad at reading all of my experiences .:)
Yes, smodlet disappeared . Hopefully she may return . I've worn out so many , with all the generous help and guidance given. I'm lucky that so many have lurked and so many have become really close to me . I initially posted for guidance . Never done this kind of thing properly. I expected a few posts and then have to make some sort of decision . The folk here are great . I must say I feel much better so far , for what I've done . I don't think I could've done it without the great guidance I got on here0 -
Hello Meandthe2.

Sorry whoops she not he!
Forgot to say the move was to the heart of Derbyshire so your neck of the woodsafter living big city life for a very long time the small village/town life is bliss
I have my own diary LL, please feel free to be as bossy and fierce if you like, I need all the help I can get!0 -
Derbyshire....."God's own country".
Looks like a storm is brewing, time to batten down the hatches.
Jut been staking up my climbing plants to protect them. Have cut the best roses and brought them indoors, no point in letting the storm ruin them.
I'll try and track down your diary, later. .0
