Thanks LL will take that into consideration .
Why am I here, when I should be painting ?? I had trouble with the lock on my internal door . I was locked inside , and it took about half an hour to get out . Then I checked the massive amount of ignored post on the floor .
Some of it was for me . This meant I had to get a pen / then I had to do my elvis impersonation ( return to sender )/ then post . I actually chucked the junk mail in the letterbox also.
That's the other thing : The notice in the hallway , says to put any mail that's not for us into recycling . Stupid . The postbox is directly across the road .
So I'm in my casual gear for painting . Can't believe I threw out my old trainers , but I had a lot going on .
I feel heady and don't fancy it . Another rough night .
I took everything over to my flat , except my Bluetooth speaker and myself . I may go over and start in a while , but probably won't start till tomorrow . It'll be a very early start if I do.0 -
Leave it now AC, best to be in the right frame of mind, not rushing things.
You could make a start on lists though?0 -
Just fell asleep . Yes harz . I could
Just received email from my solicitor . The property mgt co. Want £90 to release a title or something . I will pay that on thurs , before my next dental appointment . The hallway has been painted a second coat by the prop mgt co . They seem to get things done .0 -
Agree. Leave the Painting for today. Given your frame of mind today you will make a hash if it.
New day tomorrow.0 -
Hope you feel a bit brighter tomorrow AC, n be kind to yourself, n do the painting in manageable chunks x:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Actually LL Habitat isn't that expensive when they have sales on as they often do nowadays- they have 30% off a lot of things at the moment. I too, have slender means, and rarely pay 'full price' for anything.0

So, Tuesday was a write off .Leading to yesterday ...
Mmm, which room do I do first ? Initially , I was going to do the gas room first , and see how I go . It never worked out that way .
What I did , was the hallway . However , I was gonna start at the ceiling ,and work my way down . The coving , put me off . The ceiling and coving will be done tomorrow and then the hallway is complete .
The annoying thing is there is nowhere to sit between coats as the place is empty . A few bits of paint did go on the carpet . Not surprised . Not too disappointed. If those people who come around with the deep Cleaning machines can clear it , then hooray . I have got accidental cover on insurance . May not use it , but we'll see.
Surprised myself at not being as bad this time around healthwise , as the last time I painted . Afterwords , my fingers seized up for a couple of periods in the evening , but that was about it . I was stiff as a board tho
Today ,I've just had a tooth out . Unexpectedly for me . I forgot that was being done . I have. a sharp intermittent nerve pain from last weeks session. I'm now sitting in the balcony after dentist and food shopping0 -
I hope your toothache passes quickly AC, keep on the painkillers. Do you have a spare sheet to sacrifice as a dustsheet? Much cheaper than ruining the carpet. I'm not sure an insurance company would accept it was accidental.0

If you claim on the insurance, it will put your premium up. Also, it might not be worth it, depending on the excess.
You can get paint wipes (like the antibacterial wipes for cleaning).
You can also buy plastic dustsheets to cover the floor. We've recently painted a room and used one. I don't think they cost much.
Oh, how about getting a cheap fold up camping chair to sit on while you're decorating. You can get them for £5-£10.0 -
You need to put dust sheets on the floor to protect the carpet AC. Do you have a fold up chair you can use to sit on between coats?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
