    Sleep........

I was recommended magnesium citrate to help with muscle pain and poor sleep. I have been taking it for about 3 weeks now. Great improvement in pain levels and sleep like a log. You take before going to bed.

If you can't take it orally you can add magnesium to your bath - either as oil or bath salts. Good old Epsom salts is fine.

Hi AC - I don't really understand phone contracts etc. I have a really old phone (as in really old) on a pay as you go contract. Kids are always telling me to get a smart phone but what I have suits me. I must change the ringtone for texts though as someone on Eastenders has the same as me and I am always getting up to check it (phone sits next to the bed when I'm at home).
If I were you I would visit the flat when the plumber is there to check on progress instead of all the guessing you seem to be doing. To be honest I would have expected it to be more or less complete by now, especially as you seem to have made a few payments to him. I wouldn't pay any more until I had seen something for my money. Just a thought.
  • Glad the magnesium is working LL:)

    Thanks dreaming :)
Ive made 3 payments so far (£2,000). The rest will be paid on completion of job. To be fair to james, he seems to be doing things in the 2 week limit that everyone quotes. I'll keep you posted .

No need to change your ringtone. Just the channel when esstenders is on .

Very good AC - you're obviously on fine form today.
  • Well, I was in fine form until..i went for more dental, treatment!
Part 2 of my root canal treatment from last week. Fair enough.
I was supposed to have a filling on another hard tomget to tooth.
Unfortunately, it was a wisdom tooth. It was decayng and not having any purpose , so it was removed. Not painful( surprising ) but unexpected. So, a little down in the mouth i guess .
Another appointment in 2 weeks for more fillings .

Apart from that , all is good:)
  • Had an update with the bathroom : Bath fitted .
Floor renforced where joists have rotted. Waiting for sink / toilet and tiles so can't see work completed until early nextvweek . No work tomorrow.
    Flooring fitted and skirted.
I would imagine another 7 or 8 days, and all should be done.
    Fingers crossed

    Hi AC,
Pleased you hear it's all going well in the new flat!

Are you paying the plumber a fixed price or a day rate - what does your quote say?

AC Glad to hear all is going well with the bathroom.

And.......I loved your post the other day when you said how happy you feel. That is wonderful news.

I too am feeling happier - I still miss my darling of course I do but the pain is less raw and the grief is slowly receding.

I doubt I will ever marry again or have another serious long term relationship (although never say never:rotfl:) but I am happy and content.

We had a wonderful 34 years together, which is more than many people get. I am lucky too in that I have my fab sons. My husband lives on through them.

I am looking forward to my holiday, then finally house hunting proper, then my trip to the Amazon next year. Life is becoming fun again at last.

We get there in the end don't we. We just have to ride out the rough stuff.

Chatsworth was fab, although very cold. And it's a bit grim today but the house is warm and cosy and The cat is back in cuddle mode, the unfaithful little wretch ......

    :rotfl:
  • Hi Anna :)
There isn't an exact price . I also changed to more expensive flooring and tiling. James gave me a rough estimate printed out professionally
I would think £6k all in . Will let you know.

LL , glad you're feeling upbeat . I didn't think people bothered with the amazon, as it's all online these days . The trips away will do you the world of good :)

The flat felt cold today , which is a first . It gets warmer lunchtime onwards , or so it seems . A couple of days of showers forecast .
It will be getting steadily warmer also .

James has the flat dominated by bathroom boxes etc so it'll be the following weekend before I can continue with painting etc
