Thanks for letting me know Torfoxwell, were they settled? and if yes when? also what percentage of deposit you'll be putting down?, my default is from December 2012 I wonder if that's considered historic
, so glad you had a fantastic broker who could really help

Yes both fully settled last month but one not showing up settled on my credit report..., i have a 10% deposit , house is 227000 , i earn 13000 , my partner earns 36000 - we pay 300.00 per month in childcare which pretty much killed our affordability , my broker pushed it through but i know we were skimming the limits , im just chuffed to bits

Well done Torfoxwell. Best of luck. I have an AIP with Halifax at the moment. Just so I am clear in my understanding, am I correct in saying that you had two defaults - one in august 2011 and the other for december 2011(at least one of which was with Halifax) AND Halifax still offered you a mortgage?
Many thanks.0 -

Hi both,
Did you use Adverse Credit Specialised Brokers?0 -
Thank you so much for posting this!
We are just about to start saving for our deposit...our DMP ends in 2 payments!😀 Our defaults should hopefully come off around 2019/20 which by then we should have a good deposit! This fills me with hope that we can put this whole debt business behind us!First time buyer- Shared ownership- 13/7 DIP Leeds- soft search- 20/7 told we got house-21/7 instructed solicitor- 27/7 sales memo and full application- 30/7 hard search- 3/8 mortgage declaration sent- 6/8 told valuation complete
13/08 questions from underwriters
17/08 letter to say initial assessment completed.
20/8 Broker says it will be another week until more communication from Leeds.
27/08 Mortgage approved0 -
Hi i went to our local mortgage broker I don't think he specialize in adverse credit, just to add my only default is actually from August 2009 but for some strange reason Barclays only added that as default in December 2012 I am disputing this now with Barclays to back date it to 2009 as they've not followed correct ICO guidelines, apparently lots of people successfully got the dates corrected, Barclays did that to lots of people back in 2009 and 2008 where they got default dates wrong by 3 or 4 years.0
