Orange or Vodafone????

I'm requesting my PAC from O2 to port to one of the much better deals around for Orange or Vodafone. As I have no experience of these networks, after 20 years on O2/Cellnet, I'd like to ask the forum (or should that be audience) to vote on a 2 way Poll.
Any comments about network coverage, charges, services etc. would also be appreciated.
Thanks.

Can't speak for Vodafone, but Orange:
Pros:
Good network coverage
Friendly and helpful customer service
Detailed Billing
Well laid out online account management (although you can't change as much online as you can with T-Mobile)
Checking of remaining mins/texts via automated service.
Useful missed call text alerts
Free call diverts.
Very attractive free roaming offers and 'Same as UK' tariff abroad including free mins/texts when roaming.
Cons:
Data bundles expensive
Phones locked
Branded phones sluggish and unresponsive (suggest debranding if possible)Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0 -

I'm with VODA and have always had a full signal, but then again, Orange also has very good coverage in my area.
Debranding is ALWAYS a good idea, usually only costs around £8-£10, and usually reveals features that you wouldn't see normally....
I've never had any issues with VODA customer services, but then again I've never had to phone them...but some of my colleagues have had nightmare experiences with both Orange & VODA
Suppose this post isn't much help in making up your mind....is it?
Perhaps I'm trying to say that there's probably not toooo much between the two....0 -

On this second point I raised a thread recently about how poor this service was. Sometimes both through the phone or online it can be up to two days behind.0 -
