Well, my trip to Oban was mostly a waste of time, effort and fuel! The 'shed' didn't have anything I went up for so I ended up in T*sco for a bit of breakfast and a Tshirt.
When I got home I had a root in the back barn and found the hand held steamer which I've pulled out and got ready to use upstairs. I tackled a job in the kitchen / utility room that I'd been putting off for ages, actually took no time at all so I've no idea why I've been stalling.
I've ordered a new runner for the back hall, two new folding garden chairs, two CDs and two books. My coffee order arrived and a neighbour drove across for lovely chat. It's been all go, not quite what I had planned but still productive.
It'll be feet up time here soon, so I wish you all a good evening.0 -
Evening all,
Been very lazy today, just read papers and sent birthday greeting to DD4s MIL, thinkingof my beloved father, who would have been 104 today.
DD1 is doing dinner today, she does most weekends, as she is a very good cook I have no objections, we are having belly pork, one of my favourites.
Nice enough here today, quite warm even, although OH still puts on the heating when he gets up, then lights the living room fire, he does feel the cold, so I dont complain (often)!
Csarina, glad that you are going to put your feet up, enjoy the rest.
Kind thoughts to TA......come back when you can.
Dumpling......hugs.
Hester....glad that your boat is so nice and warm, sounds wonderful.
Lame Wolf.....hope that FBOs spoons have helped.
Elona......busy weekend for you with all that cooking. Nice that you have got more light into your garden.
Judi.....hugs.
Must check the bread situation.......may need to make some as dont want to spend any money, maybe just some plain scones as I think that we have milk that needs to be used so can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody.

I need to find some energy from somewhere (anyone got any spoons going begging?) because I need to give the bungalow at least a reasonable once-ove during the weekend. I shan't have the time or energy for much next week, with Bluebell here, I'm sure Candygirl knows all about 4-year-old Staffies with springs in their heels!
Still she's a lovely girl, very affectionate (she gave Mr LW a thorough face-wash at the Meet'n'Greet visit) so I'm really looking forward to having her here.
I'm another one with an April birthday (20th) - I am so NOT wanting to be 57 - can I skip it this year?"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
