Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one especially Judi.
I have washing in and the sky is as black as the ace of spades, typical!! We are off to Bingham shortly to do the shopping, was just going to do a 3 week shop but decided just to do the whole lot including what we are taking with us on holiday, just need a top up of fresh fruit and veg during the month.
April is a month of birthdays and anniversaries, my eldest daughter has been married 36 years on the 4th April, it is also my late cousins wedding anniversary and his daughters birthday, 17th was his birthday and the 28th is my step sons birthday.
Nothing else apart from the shopping planned for the day, so feet up with a book I guess.
We were watching recorded re runs of 'Escape to the Country' last night, I felt so sorry for the presenter, the couple were so picky and not prepared to compromise at all, kept saying 'its not big enough'. why did they want to move from their current house, one wonders, what they should have done was pick up their present house and stick it in a field!! People like that really bug me.
Cheese fritatta and salad for supper tonight.0 -
Morning all,
Lovely bright day here and very mild, it was like this yesterday until early evening and then it turned really cold, so we are still lighting the fire in the evenings its all with free wood atm so all good !
Today we have the mammoth task for getting all the junk from OH's shed to the tip its going to have to go in my car as OH and dd have tiny cars where one bag of shopping fills the boot, im not particularly happy about it but it needs doing, I have a boot liner so hopefully it wont cause too much mess !
Tonight dd and I are off out with some friends for a girls night, its usually great fun but one has dropped out already one is pregnant, one wants to go home early and one is not coming, so I think it will be a much quieter one than normal but it will be nice to see them all and catch up.
Right better go and hang the washing, have good days all xx0 -

Morning all
I'm ok, just a bit stiff and sore. We had terrible rain last night but it seems to have cleared now so have stripped the bed and having a coffee while it's in the wash. I have got a lot to do today to catch up with the things I didn't do yesterday, but if they don't all get done then tough ! DH is up the shed ( his "workshop" he says) making a new shelf for the TV in our bedroom. Apparently the TV is too low for him, but a) he's asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow and b) it's been like that for at least 5 years :rotfl:. Never mind it gets him out from under my feet for a couple of hours !
I think later I'll make cottage pie for tea so had better shift myself and put the mince in the slow cooker.
TA If you are reading, I am also worrying about you. Hope you and MrTA are ok.
Judi try to celebrate the good memories. ((special hugs ))
Have a good Saturday everyoneFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Afternoon all.
We're on the boat and have been since yesterday, the stove is keeping us warm and toasty and the kettle is whistling on the stove top.
We've been to the Midland Chandlers to buy an anchor, chain and rope, we exchanged the cooker shelf that we bought last time for one that fits. Yay 2 shelves in my cooker.
We've also been to Crick co-op and stocked the fridge and freezer up ready for next weekend. We will stay on shorepower for next week.
After many lectures from Captain Hot Stuff about me needing to be tidy it has finally dawned on him that he's the one that causes the mess by insisting that all his stuff needs to be within easy reach.

Tell him to splice his main race and fiddle with his sextant for a bit, that'll keep him out of your hair HesterI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

I need to find some energy from somewhere (anyone got any spoons going begging?) because I need to give the bungalow at least a reasonable once-ove during the weekend. I shan't have the time or energy for much next week, with Bluebell here, I'm sure Candygirl knows all about 4-year-old Staffies with springs in their heels!
Still she's a lovely girl, very affectionate (she gave Mr LW a thorough face-wash at the Meet'n'Greet visit) so I'm really looking forward to having her here.
I'm another one with an April birthday (20th) - I am so NOT wanting to be 57 - can I skip it this year?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Gardener has taken the shared hedge down by two feet and slimmed it down so much more light and space at the front of the house. :j
Middle dd is coming round tonight and staying over and three dds and sil are coming for lunch tomorrow so planning on cooking a large lasagne for us all.
I ordered a couple of pairs of linen trousers and a top in the sales that should be good for the holiday in a couple of weeks and also some drinks and cooking ingredients from AF are on the way so I feel quite organised.
