Bosch or wilco drill

Hi I have seen a Wilko own brand drill for £32 and the Bosch keyless chuck £33.40 with my discount from b&q
It will be use for general diy and maybe once to drill some holes in Accrington brick if that makes a difference.
I already have already makita cordless drill bit is on its way out.
Never had already keyless chuck on a corded drill and in sure of the reliability of the chuck.
Thanks

If you want to drill brick get a SDS drill. I would get a Bosch GBH SDS. WILL cost a little more than £60, but it will last you years. That's what we use on-site. Cheap and reliable.

Go for the Bosch for your needs, an SDS (proper heavy hammer drill) needs special bits and the one linked to is 110v for a transformer - a safety requirement on site.

Yes I understand SdS drill and could never justify the cost.
I have always had bosch but the chuck being keyless with the mains power is the good?
    Thanks

For your general use and infrequent drilling in brick I too would go for the Bosch especially given your discount.
I have three of them all great all battery models and keyless chucks. A heavy battery one after several years domestic use (a lot of diy) failed. Accordi4ng to internet reports it had been stated as a design fault. Despite it's age and on it's third battery owing to lots of use) contacted Bosch. No quibble, no need for receipts, registrations etc. They just repaired free of any charge. It is still going strong, though showing it's age, having been dropped one floor and several years use later.

Just bought another. Fingers crossed for another 15+ years life!

Now is that glowing recommendation any use?

    Thank you everyone
I should know better than leave Bosch .
If I could afford / justify it there's a blue cordless Bosch for £80 with three batteries
The same model with two batteries is £125 in screwfix.
I don't do that much any more.
Maybe an Aldi cordless drill when my Makita finally dies

well I took the cheap Bosch elec drill back as it felt horrible and heavy
I ended up getting the Blue bosch that's on offer and boy was it worth it it feels much better than my Makita that's on its last legs.
If you cant find them in store they are hidden away for the trade customers but I spoke nice to a manager
three batteries and a posh looking bit set all for £80

If you ever feel the need to drill into brick, then borrow an SDS drill. Cheaper than buying one. Anyway, £80 for a cordless drill with 3 batteries isn't bad going.
