Misuse of data protection?

Hi all,

I created this thread a while back and won via popla:

Since then, I have managed to receive around 5 more 'invoices'.
They have sent me a letter threatening debt collectors etc on 4 'invoices' so I sent a letter to DVLA to ask who gave requested my details.

The private parking firm whom sent me these threatening letters aren't on the list, there is only one firm who have requested my details and they are Dart charge or whatever they are now.

I spoke to somebody on ICO live chat and they said to send a letter to the parking !!!!!! and ask where they got my details from.

Is there a template for this and also is there another way they can get my details without asking dvla?

who is on your list? , the guy probably pays someone to do the donkey work for him

Just Dart charge or whoever they are nowadays.

dart charge are not connected in any way , I see your origional post (5 pages?) , is this incident now same car / same address?

Yes, that's correct.

The original post was about to invoices that have since been won at popla and cancelled by landowner.

ok , the guy is re using your info , get a printout from the DVLA to show that no private parking co or agents have accessed data , then get on the the BPA sharpish

have you had a reply from the DVLA?

I got a reply from my letter to dvla and they told me only dartcharge have requested my details.

Also, in my initial letter to DVLA I asked for anybody requesting my details dates from Nov 15 - March 17.

This would include the original invoices they issued too so from day 1 it seems they have got my details from somewhere other than dvla. I don't even know if that is legal?

no not legal , brief look at your other thread looks like the housing assoc have handed on a plate , in order to be a member of the BPA , PARKING companies must either usethe electronic link , themselves or thru a AOS company , or use form v888/3

Mr smitz is being a naughty boy not paying his £2.50 a pop , you have proof , and demand letters , contact the DVLA and the BPA

what have you got from the DVLA ?

don,t contact smitz , go after with style , attack from the DVLA and BPA angles

forwarn the housing assoc that this might get sticky , and to order extra "tenna" pads


"those fools?" you mean the one man band called smitz , no letter , dont contact him , as per the DVLA , (if you have not already)
