Well done on UU the eyeshadow. Emma has lent me her ABH Modern Renaissance palette and the colours are pretty amazing. I may have to get this when I visit the US.
I've never owned A Rose At Dawn. Not sure if it's not discontinued. I had some INs yesterday. wandered into Superdrug yesterday and bought an Eyebrow pencil for Emma and 2 Sally Hansen nail colours. Got Pink Tank which reminds me of a fave OPI colour from years ago called Party in my Cabana and another SH colour called Can't Beet Royalty (I think) which looked like good dupe for OPI Mrs O'Leary's BBQ. Am wearing Pink Tank.
Also picked up 2 x Batiste yesterday as Emma UUed mine. Got the Ravishing one as it was reduced to £1.50.
I hope A rose at dawn isn't discontinued as absolutely love it. It was in the Breakfast at Tiffany's Mani month. Used it loads from January onwards. Still on a nail polish buying ban though as have ridiculous amounts of the stuff.0 -
OK ladies, it's early and I'm bored! Have watched some YouTube panning roulette videos and thought it sounded like fun so have decided to incorporate it into my Finish 5 by Summer for this challenge. So:-
Categories:-
One of your most expensive items
Something you are loving right now
Something you regret buying
Matte product
Tarte item
So in that order I've chosen:-
ABC Tea Tree Skinwash - I really found it hard thinking of anything to use for this category. For me, the most expensive things I buy are my skincare but I don't buy that at RRP anymore. I think my most expensive make up item is my Bobby Brown Shimmerbrick but I can only get away with wearing that in the Summer so I've gone with this body wash as it's expensive for what it is. Am getting low and will probably buy the TSV next week to replenish.
Kat Von D Tattoo liner in Trooper. I seriously do not want this product to end.
I found this category hard too because I try to consider everything I buy now however am putting in the Body Shop perfume I put in my Finish 5 Challenge. Have been using as room spray but it doesn't seem to be going down. Will put it in my bag to wear every day as well.
UD OC Blush. Have hit pan on this and will now need to use it as an eyeshadow as can't get Tge product onto a blush brush.
Foundation. Was getting low on this before my hols and the tube is getting to the point where it needs to be cut open.
Can I copy?
One of your most expensive items - Murad Invisiblur primer - going through this ridiculously quickly and it was expensive for a primer
Something you are loving right now - difficult as there are quite a few things that I love at the moment, but as most of them are quite new and will take forever to UU I'm going to go for UD Baby eye shadow (this has already hit pan) wearing this today and had forgotten how pretty it looks on the lid.
Something you regret buying - UD Allnighter foundation - horrid stuff not sure I'll ever be able to get rid of it though.
Matte product - Another difficult one - going to cheat and go for something easy to UU as its already hit pan. UD Stark eye shadow the perfect transition colour.
Tarte item - Unfortunately I've never tried any tart products.0 -

Course you can copy x
Those eyeshadow colours are lovely. According to Temptalia Duoes for Baby are UD Sin and Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rose Gold but to me Baby looks more champagne coloured rather than pink.
I've tried Tarte foundation, lip crayon, blush, eyeshadows and lipstick. The foundation is good but can be caked if too much applied. Do prefer the No7 Lift and Luminate so won't repurchase the Tarte one when UUed. Didn't rate the lip crayon at all. Have the Blush in Exposed (You Tube made me buy it!!) and it's lovely. Also have a lipstick from a Sephora kit and it's really creamy. Also have a couple of their palettes but wouldn't rave about them.
Good luck with your challenge xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Declutter done and some unexpected UUs so:
UU
8. Lush Kitchen Starcraft Cleanser WMBA I liked this but I think their 9-5 is better and obviously more easily available.
9. Rimmel Kate Moss Lip Balm WDBA Really like this, already had a replacement ready.
10. L’Oreal Ultra Riche Shampoo WMBA I really like this range but I absolutely hate the packaging; it's so frustrating.
11. Poundland Pure Wipes WNBA Couldn't use these on my face too much as they were a bit rough. Came in handy cleaning swatches off during the declutter though!
GA from decluttering:
1-2. 2 blushes (1 Milani, 1 MUR)
3-4. 2 Barry M single eyeshadows.
5-13. Palettes (1 L’Oreal, 1 Khroma, 1 Collection, 1 MUA, 3 MUR, 2 Sleek)
14-16. 3 Lip products (1 Tarte, 1 No7, 1 MUR)
Also have a few INs from a Superdrug order. Been in the mood to spend money on makeup - despite the declutter - and have been eyeing palettes online so compromised with buying things that will definitely get used while they were on a good offer
11. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
12. Maybelline Falsies PushUp Angel Mascara
13. I Heart Makeup Fixing Spray - pretty sure this is exactly the same as the Freedom Makeup one I already use which is nearly UU, but in a nicer bottle
14. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel sachet - free with my order.
Think I might have to buy an itchy scalp shampoo when I go food shopping tomorrow but apart from that I will attempt to resist for the rest of the month but I got paid today so... We'll see!0 -

I was not at all keen on the Tarte foundation, I found it really heavy. I ended up giving it away. I do have the Lift and Luminate and find it a bit sticky and hard to blend properly with a brush. I might try thinning it slightly by using some of the No7 Superlight foundation which is one of my favourites, and very runny. In general I've been impressed with the No7 foundations - I think I've tried 5 formulas. Calico is a great match for me - even though their colour match thing said I was Cool Vanilla; I'm really not!
My Tarte palette made it through my latest round of decluttering but like you, I don't think they're super special. If I'd tested their products blind, I would never have guessed that they sell in the price range they do.0 -
Reviewed the Burt's Bees Gift Set.
One thing that I didn't mention in the review is that the set is £19, for a small-ish body lotion, a med sized foot lotion and a lip balm I don't think that's particularly good value.
Some of the reviews are just a few lines. Tsk. If you can't give a product a proper review why request it?
Am@zon combined the reviews of the different flavoured lip balms meaning I don't have to review the pear and coconut one when it arrives.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

I apply my foundation with a Real Techniques sponge which really sheers it out. Maybe try this?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Hurrah, I have finished my Urban Decay OC Blush this morning. Did do the old crushing technique to get every last bit out. Nice enough but would not seek out a dupe of it.
Will have to look at my roulette thingy later to choose something else. May put this palette away for a while now so that I don't get bored.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
