I read through all the stickies on there once and they say to start with very small amounts to practice so it's not such a huge risk if/when you are making your rookie errors.

I know a while ago Martin talked about restricting those who could view it.

I will say this. Matched Betting is not talked about much on this challenge as it is not a certainty.

yes you need at least £50 to start with. you need to read, read again, read again and really understand what you are doing. you can lose money as well as make money.

we don't encourage it here for the risk of losing your money or getting addicted to gambling.

people do it successfully and we don't say don't add it to your monthly challenge because it is money made.

but like any gambling you csn lose money as well as make money.

Anyone that does matched betting.........I'm debating having a go but havent a clue where to start. Is it scary? Does it take up lots of time?
Would be interested in looking into it if anyone willing to pass on any advice?

To all who are thinking of starting matched betting I second what Aesop says about read all you can before starting out. Then read it again;). As one who had a fair amount of experience of MB back in the day:o I ought to mention that it gets more problematic once you have opened lots of accounts and have used up the 'free' introductory bonuses. Obviously there are other offers from the bookmakers that you use from time to time but not to the extent that they throw money at you in the beginning. Makes finding lucrative bet opportunities more time-consuming.


Just received my £22.85 from Prolific and also did a really short and simple study on suicide yesterday which paid £3:j so I'm already on my way to the next one. I love Prolific:T. I'm definitely going to close down my accounts with most of the other survey sites once I've cashed out my earnings. Life's too short for the frustration, screen-outs, poor pay and ridiculously high payout levels on most of the other sites.

There is good money to be made from matched betting but I do have to agree with the warnings being given.
