Got the PA4 report yesterday for pip and going by the ticks the nurse who did report she has put that i dont need any help with anything which in my view and my carers view is wrong.
so looks like i will not get any points at all even with me having epilepsy and having around 3 fits a week.
so looks like i will have to go down the route of asking them to look at it again and having my DLA stopped soon.
not had the letter from DWP with points total yet but i can see its not DWP who says how many points each person gets but dam Atos as DWP will just go what the report says and from what i can see they have not even asked my GP about illness as noting on PA4 form about what GP says.
feeling like crap right now and in report she has put no review needed.

This is disappointing and obviously very stressful for you. It obviously isn't the decision but at least you are prepared for what the most likely decision is. I would begin tentative preparations for reconsideration request so that you are in good situation when the clock starts ticking to make such if applicable/appropriate. But for now await decision."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

As I have been advised on this site, starting at a 'no points' position, it is going to be extremely hard to get that reversed for you to get at least 8 points by way of a MR.
I'll let others give opinions on what you should do going forward.
I do feel for you, I had DLA High Mobility/Middle Care indefinitely and ended up also with 0 points for PIP.0 -
There is a new upper tribunal ruling about safety and supervision which could help more people with epilepsy (and others) qualify for PIP. You can find a summary about it on B&W in the news section. It might be useful if you do end up going for MR and appeal to read the summary and then the whole ruling if you think it might be relevant to you. It applies from 9th March so before your assessment but after your claim date so I'm not sure how it would be applied. Even if you're not able to use the ruling you can probably get some good arguments from their decision that you could use for an MR if necessary.
What reasons did the nurse give for her belief that you don't need the help that you claimed? Was it based on the number of fits per week not being on more than 50% of the days? If so I think this decision could be useful.0 -

This guide is helpful:
http://www.advicenow.org.uk/guides/how-win-pip-appeal
First steps would be to:
1) Review the PIP points system and be sure how you score the necessary 8 points
http://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip/pip-points-system
2) Contact your local CAB / advice agency to see if they can help with an appeal
3) Book an appointment with your GP and see if they will support your appeal with medical evidence relevant to the PIP activities (more info on this in the appeal guide linked above).Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Thankyou for all the advice.
i still have not had the letter yet so as i got the form filled out with help from my local disability avice centre they have said they will help me with the MR.
when they stop my DLA and also the CA and IS what then will we have to claim and will DWP leave us high and dry as i know they dont rush new claims and if they only pay DLA for 28 days after i am scared that we wont have any income apart from child tax credit and CB as we have a 16 year old son.
i just can see a big mess in front of me now because of a so called nurse.0 -

Your IS and CA would also stop but you could claim ESA but you'll need a DR's fit/sick note to be able to claim this. Other than that it would be JSA or UC if that's in your area.0

Your DLA will continue for 4 weeks if your PIP application is refused.
In your case you will need to get a fit note from your doctor and apply for ESA.
This should not take weeks and since your IS is paid in arrears there should be a fairly smooth transition.
Since you are in contact with a disability advice centre then you should contact them once you have your letter and they will help you apply for ESA.
A good guide on how to manage here:
