    But it didn't

    But it didn't

You won't get "compo" for stress.
Another phone may put someone else in hospital.

If you bought the phone from Three return it to one of their stores on a busy day and ask to speak to the manager, tell him/her you want a new one?

but they also saying that the phone out of warranty so I'm lucky to get it replaced considering its only two months old

you should deal with Three - they state that the phone comes with 24 months warranty (if they do not have this back to back with the manufacturer then that is their problem)
link won't post but if you type "getting device repaired" into here http://www.three.co.uk/Support/

As a side note, don't put out electronic fires with wet towels.

As a side note, don't put out electronic electrical fires with wet towels.

Fixed that for you. A wet towel should be fine for low powered DC electronic equipment (like a phone) ... unless it is connected to a mains charger and it's the charger that's the cause. It is not fine for a mains powered electrical device. (Risk of electrocution when you put the towel over). :)
