A question for Malc, please. :D

I've now received all the Rewards Points for the remaining 16 months of my tariff, but I'm 7 points short of the last 100 points. Before I redeem my points, is there any way E.on will honour the last 93 points? Obviously, they are just left floating in my account. Is it better to ring and ask?

Well, this is a money saving site and a £1 is a £1 .............:rotfl:
Fred - Where's your get up and go?

Barney - It just got up and went.

If you mean exchange for Tesco Clubcard points, you can exchange less than 100 at a time - my final exchange was for 79 points.

    Every little helps!!
Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?

I think that Malc said on an earlier post, that these odd points would be redeemable?? I was OK because I had 200 points exactly -107 for March and 93 for account closure in mid March.

They're not redeemable for vouchers, I'm unable to change the limit, however, I'll just exchange the remaining 93 points for Clubcard points, (which i didn't want to do.)

Thanks for your help ctdctd, I didn't realise you could exchange an odd number for Tesco Clubcard points.

    Morning fredandwilma.

Glad you've received your remaining Reward Points. They can, though, only be exchanged for Bonusbond shopping vouchers in blocks of 100. It's not possible to change the online claim button to anything less than multiples of 100.

As ctdctd says, the alternative is to swap the remainder for Tesco Clubcard points as this can be done on a one for one basis.

Sorry this isn't your preferred option fredandwilma but hope you can use them when shopping.

Spot on ctdctd. Anything less than 100 can be exchanged for Tesco Clubcard points.

Sorry brewerdave but, as above, Reward Points can only be exchanged for Bonusbond shopping vouchers in blocks of 100. Any odd points left over are still redeemable but as Tesco Clubcard points.

Glad you were okay and hit the 200 mark.

  • That's a shame they've not done the right thing by you all. When I switched away from Eon, I was marginally short on points and they were automatically rounded up for me to claim a voucher. I was very impressed by that.

I guess this is just another way that Eon have gone down in my estimation.

I agree bumpercars99. I didn't think it was fair to leave a balance of points on accounts where customers prefer shopping vouchers to Tesco Clubcard points. Also, not everyone shops at Tesco. This was part of the reason we moved away from just giving Tesco Clubcard points. To give customers choice.

Consequently, I've been making waves and we've just had a briefing saying advisors can now round up the points total on final balances at the end of the Rewards scheme. This will be to the next hundred so customers can clear all their points with an extra shopping voucher.

Sorry this is too late for those who've already exchanged their points but hope it helps those who haven't.

I've just posted a reply above to bumpercars99 (#post 9) fredandwilma about exchanging Reward Points for shopping vouchers. Sorry this is too late for you but only just had the briefing about the new policy of rounding up points to the next 100.

Once exchanged, there's no way to bring them back I'm afraid.

Just a quick update on the above. This isn't automatic and customers need to ask for it to be done.

    Thanks.
