Was in a minor car accident today and wodered if anyone can help? I was indicating to come into the right lane and it was clear as I came accross and got in lane a can went down the side of me Ive read some information where if your indicating into a lane its most likely your fault if they hit you in the back, is this the same for the side? There are four lanes and I have no idea where he came from he said he had a camera in the van. My car was in the lane I wanted to be in on impact.

My car was where the blue cycle badge is in the third lane from the left.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Without knowing where he came from its difficult to say who was at fault. Although the fact you don't know where he came from doesn't bode well for you.

If he was in my lanes surely he would have gone into the back of me?

could the driver have been coming from the lane on the other side of my new lane, explaining why I was unaware of his presence earlier?

    You're at fault.

Cutting across into his lane and reducing his stopping distance.

Ive told them they siad it gonna be my fault as I was going into the lane as you guys previoulsy stated so you were correct, will I have to pay any excess if I just claim for them how does the excess business work? They said they would look at fixing my door too I said dont wory as thought the excess is probably more than me buying a door as I only have a ford focus and get usually pick up for £40 or will I still pay for this anyway. They said I could ring back if I changed my mind?

    Thanks again
