Oven Gone Wrong

Used the oven two days ago for chips. Was fine.
Come to it today and it's almost dead.
The fan turned fine before although at one point during cooking, it would get rather noisy.
Turn it on and there's a very light buzz, I can see the fan in the back trying to turn but it moves about 2cm and doesn't spin any more.
No bulb light. No heat. No grill heat either.
It's a Bush AE6BFW.
Was here when I moved in; the previous occupant suggested it was new but doesn't look that swish.
Any ideas?

Check if the mains fuse has tripped.....would be my first thought0

Sounds like the fan has gone, but that wouldn't account for the rest of it failing, unless it's a safety feature if something packs in.0

Sorry, should have added, the RCD is fine. Haven't checked the fuse in the plug but it's strange that the fan tries to turn and I can hear a slight buzz so that says there's power going in okay surely?
But then the light doesn't even come on, so that makes me think the element is fine. Hmm.0 -
Ovens are almost certainly hard wired so shouldn't be on a plug.0

Whilst this is certainly true for double ovens or high power singles ones, the oven concerned is only 2600w maximum which equates to about 11.5A current draw so it's possible that it may have been connected up by a plug to a wall socket.Ovens are almost certainly hard wired so shouldn't be on a plug.
Not ideal but it does happen a fair bit.0 -
It's plugged in...
Yes, not ideal but it is what it is.
Although that socket is still controlled by a switch in the wall. That switch has its own switch too!0 -
Have you had the plug to bits as it could be a loose connection.0
-
No but will check it.
Is it safe to plug it into another plug via an external soon cable to test do you think?
Just strange as it was working fine and now all of a sudden it's a no go.0 -
It's not going to be the plug.0
