I've got two accounts - one which I don't touch which is almost at £300 (the one I have in my monthly total), and another one which I am allowed to dip into - this isn't very high as I dipped into it for the car's MOT. So just a hundred or so now.
My plan for when I know what the new situation with childcare/tax credits etc is sorted (hopefully in the next month or so), is to do a new SOA and open a couple of savings accounts attached to my main current account. I want to then put in everything I need each month for annual/quarterly bills so that I have the money there and don't need to dip into the savings at all."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Two items sold yesterday but won't post them until Monday.
The weather's looking a bit iffy for the car boot today, so will see if I can persuade the kiddies to sort through some toys."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Just had a bit of a sort through under the kitchen sink. Found some cleaning stuff and handwash that could be used immediately so they are out of there.
Cleaned all the windows outside downstairs to try and use up some of the umpteen bottles of window cleaner?!?
I also might try and brave the oven later but I'm going to make some SW scotch eggs and sausage rolls first for lunches during the week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oooh JWil the scotch eggs and sausage rolls sound delish, would you mind sharing the recipes? I'm going to try and bake some stuff later and small ones would love those, have plenty of sausages and eggs....0

Sorry missymoo, didn't come back on this weekend
I can't find what I originally read, but it was similar to this: https://witwitwoo.com/2016/02/24/slimming-world-syn-free-scotch-eggs/
I used a big pack of pork mince and so made 4 scotch eggs, and made sausage rolls using the rest of the mince.
I used the same recipe for the mince, and then used a sandwich wrap rather than pastry to wrap the sausage rolls. Use egg to stick the wrap together and glaze it. I wasn't sure how it would be, but it was ok, the wrap was nice and crunchy straight out of the oven. I haven't tried them cold yet, but will have one for my lunch tomorrow so will see how it's survived.
I've got a load of wraps left so will try some pasties next!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
