So my end of month update:
Total debt: [STRIKE]£34,557[/STRIKE]/£33,924 = 1.83% paid
Savings target: [STRIKE]£19,320[/STRIKE]/£85 = 0.44% reached
Slowly but surely...
I've actually paid a little more than this to the debts this month, but my credit file balances haven't updated yet, so they should show next month. I've almost doubled my savings :rotfl:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Another parcel going today
Some small pads today:
£1.43 to mortgage
£5.00 to savings
£5.00 to savings
£0.57 to joint od.
I desperately need to buy some clothes, mine are increasingly threadbare and can't really be repaired any more. I can't bring myself to pay the prices though! I'm going to have to try and buy one or two items a month I think."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Well I've splashed out  I have some undies (paid by amazon vouchers), trousers, trainers and a top on order. Ebay sales and surveys will hopefully have covered most of them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Well done on both accounts. It's great to see that you are keeping on top of your bills, making small overpayments and more importantly saving.

Another 11 items( 3 x parcels) going today :T
Some small pads today:
£1.43 to mortgage
£5.00 to savings
£5.00 to savings
£3.00 to joint od.
I have £5 from a survey site just arrived in my account too.
So yesterdays purchases:
Undies - £15 paid for in amazon vouchers
Trousers - £23
Top - £8
Trainers - £23 (55% discount compared to website)
So £54.
I used £6 in paypal and have received £5 cash from a survey site today, knocking off £11. That means my essentially new outfit has so far cost me £43 in actual cash."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks retired, it's nice to finally feel like I'm getting on top of things and starting to make a small difference. This month is going to be an expensive one so I must get listing on ebay!
Ebay is my friend for clothes! The top is second hand but the rest is new. I'm also watching several things, so if I have some sales, I might add to them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Task for this week is to try and sell some dvds to one of the online buying sites. I've got loads of mainstream films that I've seen, don't sell on ebay and can't be bothered to car boot as everyone will already have seen them! Hoping I can get a few pence for them, so will have a look and see what can be done. If not I'll send them off to charity.
I've got some time off coming up and I want to get on with other things then, so the more space I can clear in the meantime, the better!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
