Car in garage raises insurance cost

We're getting car insurance quotes for when we move house. We'll have a garage (yippee!) so won't need to park on the street. The house is on a street that's parallel to ours (a 3 minute walk away) but the insurance quotes, whether we put our current address or new address, are coming back higher WITH the garage than when…

It'll simply come down to more claims from people with vehicles kept in garages, regardless of what those claims stem from.
