Does anyone have any advice regarding my NRAM post above.
Also what does a CCA look like? !
Harry,
How much was the NRAM loan for ?
If less than £25000 then it should be regulated under the consumer credit act, therefore i would send a CCA request first, see how that pans out.
Credit agreements take many forms, but a ballpark example is something like this :I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks so much Soutcrates
Unfortunately the NRAM/NR loan was for £30,0000 -
Hi all,
I have been on my DMP for 15 months now and it is ticking along well, I have another 3 years to go. Unfortunately I have been faced with a massive car bill today and am not going to make my payment due next week.
Will stepchange allow me to miss a month or make a significantly reduced payment or will this terminate my agreement with them?
I really need my car for work but the bill is likely to be near £700 😩😱
Thanks in advance for any wise words0 -

What year did you take the loan, was it before 2008 ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before (did a quick search but couldn't find anything) -but is there a date (year) or time limit for CCA requests. So what I mean is, can you only request a CCA check with a DCA if the debt dates back to (on or before) a certain year?
We have CCs and a loan currently being recovered by the PRA Group - one dates from early 2008, one from 2010 and one from 2012. So I'm wondering if its worth sending in a CCA request for any of them before I try to negotiate any F&Fs.
Thanks.0 -
I would Suseka97 I've just had one come back unenforceable from PRA from 2011. Good luckStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

This happened to me, spoke to Stepchange, reduced my payments to £5 per creditor for one month, no issues at all. I also wrote to each creditor explaining why it was reduced for one month and offered to send a copy of the car bill if they wanted me to. No problems at all.Up_the_creek wrote: »Hi all,

Hi,
There is no time limit, as long as it's a consumer credit act regulated debt.
The only requirement is that a balance remains to be paid on the account, that's it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
