It might have been the WCA assessment people who called, but as Muttley said, don't worry about it. If any government body needs to contact you, and can't get hold of you by phone, they will write to you.
Oddly enough I had one of those 'Microsoft Tech Support' calls earlier today. I did suggest they might want to go away, just not quite that politely. :rotfl:0 -
I don't mean to embarrass you by pointing this out, but you agreed in another thread that you would restrain yourself to your own threads due to your dementia/medication making it a bad idea for you to advise others.

OP - rockingbilly has disclosed a number of health problems including poor mental health, and dementia....
He wrote......"Without quoting chapter and verse. I have one report dated 2014 when tested for Dementia that clearly states that I have great difficulties in coping and understanding new information, and sequencing as well as showing a noticeable loss of functional & analytical skills.. I have memory loss which is confirmed with a diagnosis of Dementia caused either by vascular problems (most likely) or alcoholism (unlikely) which is being treated....."
It's a horrible disability to suffer from for Rockingbilly, his wife, and his family. Very sad.
There has been much debate on the forums about the evident contradictions / confusions / inaccuracies in rockingbilly's posts.
After some debate.......
......."Rockingbilly, with the greatest respect please listen to NeilCr,. you're dominating at least two fora where people are posting asking for advice and they and anyone who tries to help them are instead receiving diatribes from you. When you're calm you try to advise, whilst admitting in this and other threads you don't understand this stuff....".
rockingbilly agreed not to give advice / information / or to derail other forum users threads because it could cause real problems for them .

He wrote...."I will leave all in peace as being, I will no longer give advice to other posters as was requested of me for obvious reasons."
Unfortunately he seems to have forgotten this promise.
I hope NeilCr, wo6, and rockingbilly don't mind me quoting their comments on this thread

I would suggest the OP and other forum users, wish rockingbiily well but ignore his posts.
Please don't respond to his posts since, as anyone who has has experience of dementia, will know, confrontation will only increase his distress and confusion.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -

I agreed not to give advice due to my medical issues.
Where in my post have I given any advice?
I first pointed out that I too refused to give the DWP my telephone numbers - that is a fact, agreeing with another poster!
Then I also mentioned, as a fact, that I went into all of my assessments with a mind-set that I didn't care what they said or out in the report.
Agreeing not to give advice, does not preclude me from supporting another poster and mentioning what my attitude is towards these assessments.0 -

As above... you claim to have significant illnesses that would make you inherently risky to follow the advice of... you've made a pig's ear of your recent PIP claims according to you as testimony to that... by taking a flip the coin approach to claiming and hoping the gods of Olympus are the smiling DWP decision makers. My advice is focus on your circumstances and enjoying life... lf you feel compelled to help a disabled claimant tactically then think of summer meadows and sit in the garden listening to birds.... at your age you should be enjoying these things and I think it would be more constructive... and surely your wife would agree.. right... enjoy your time together and grab a sandwich... spring is here. Let us mere mortals deal with the difficulties presented here."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
Muttleythefrog wrote: »"For all of my face to face assessments I went into the assessment on the basis that I didn't care what they wrote about me - it would have been a pack of lies anyhow so why worry" sounds to me like directive advice. It would be bad advice if so...although of course hopefully people can avoid worrying too much about these typically stressful events.

But then taking your advice I should just let the DWP walk all over me? Where is the justice in doing that?
Pig's ear - you may well be right. But then what choice did I have at the time?
That's it, one more to roll over and tell everyone that we always make the right decision shouts the DWP!0 -

Muttleythefrog wrote: »Em.... this is why you should not be advising people... your recollection of my advice is completely wrong. Your recollection of events and facts is shockingly poor... hence they continually change and often bear absolute contradiction to reality (or at least other claims of events or facts). I clearly advised you to get the evidence in your case (which you didn't have)... to figure out if you should in theory qualify... then make a case for reconsideration. I did say you might have difficulties if challenging your own evidence but I even suggested that could be overcome and quite possibly at a tribunal in appeal. It was you who spat the dummy out and decided not to pursue the matter (and may have changed mind.. who knows)... my advice would never be to let the DWP walk over anyone.
The MR is in. As for trying to make a case and getting evidence, both jobs were extremely hard and difficult to do. Up to date evidence is hard to come by. For the main I am under my GP who just follows the route of ensuring that there is a never ending supply of drugs at my disposal. Consultant input has ceased as there is nothing more that they can offer. As for writing the MR. I know what I should get (based on my own view) but that would be immaterial. I have just set out what my problems are and left it at that. Yes some parts are at odds to what is on the claim form. so I am just hoping that the DWP can see through what I was trying to say and how the confusion happened.0 -
Rockingbilly you can't stop hijacking other people's threads can you.!!!!0
