Off to London next week-DH is having severe pain walking too far at the moment, so any ideas on how to enjoy London without being on the feet too much please.
It's us, a 12yr old and a 10yr old. All ideas welcomed.
Thanks

Hire a wheel chair or borrow from Red Crossmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Do a search for £15-£20 codes for first use of Uber and sign up as you can get a free taxi ride (sign up you and DH), you can use that for door to door transport.
The wheelchair hire is a good suggestion. Details on transport accessibility here:

Don't go, unless you are happy to go to one place an spend the day there (pub).0

Use the Thames Clippers.
http://www.thamesclippers.com/
Buy a River roamer ticket and you get unlimited 'hop on hop off ' travel on their routes up and down the river.

If you are tavelling in by train you can get 2-4-1 tickets with a coupon and showing your train tickets

A round trip from the London Eye to the O2 and back takes around 2 hours and you'll see loads of sights on the way. With a roamer ticket they'll usually let you just stay on the boat for the return journey. In the evening you can go even further downstream to Woolwich through the Thames Barrier
Also you can get off at Bankside to go on their 'Tate to Tate' boat down to Millbank.
We never get tired of the clippers when we visit - on a rainy day my OH and I once did three round trips in a day!0 -
Bus tour? Or river cruise could be a good option? especially now the weather is getting nicer! Have a look at the LittleBird website for deals. They've often got lots of stuff like that.0

I second the Clipper idea. nice way to see London even if it is raining. Also, try the duck tour (https://www.londonducktours.co.uk/)0

Would be useful to get a better indication of how far he can walk.
Are you saying that he will have difficulty walking 200 yards? Guess not, or he probably wouldn't be going.
Or are you saying he can do half a mile, but only once; can't walk all day like one often does in London?
Would he have difficulty hopping on/off boats, or climbing to top deck of buses?
How are you planning to get from arrival point to your accommodation - might give us an idea that he's OK with tube ( for a while at least).
Without necessarily going into details - is it a problem for which he's been told to rest, or told to keep active, with painkillers if necessary. If the former, I'd question the sense in him going to London at all.
Needs to be somewhere where he can sit and look at the views?
Where are you staying? We might know somewhere where he can stay behind, sit and look at the views, read a good book ...?
I was going to suggest river trip. Go to Greenwich. Short walk to National Maritime Museum (free) where you and kids can spend time on the explorers and discovery, and hubby can rest in the cafe - with a guidebook to do 'virtual' tour if he wants.
Same applies for any of the major museums, really.0 -
I second river cruise. Also No 11 bus takes you east to west past many places of interest and you can hop on and off for the price of an Oyster fare.
