If you're not moving then get all matey with her again and tell her it's because you'd miss her and the neighbourhood/house. Then get matey - and try to get the trees cut down.
Then, once you've got that far, tell her you are selling the house, but still living there as it'll be sold to somebody who buys houses and lets the original person live there still ..."that'll be nice as I can afford to take us on a little holiday, eh!" ...all matey matey .....
The first she'll know of you leaving is when the van rocks up on moving day
