Update. It took a phone call to get things moving in the right direction ,so not sure why.Anyway, now had the letter confirming date and amount, then today the form arrived reference the deferred amount and the options.
I have now got mine to apply for, after hubby's experience not sure if phoning might be the better option !0 -
I've received my first payment (for 1 week) and a letter confirming the amount to be paid 4-weekly after 19/4. Still nothing about the deferred bit though...The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

I received my first payment on 13th April one week in arrears (claiming weekly). If you click on the link in post #5 of this thread and scroll through until you read a post by 'wolv' who seems to work for the Pension Service it is very informative.
Basically they are overstretched and the 'target' is to send out the Choices letter by 15 working days after the claim date. After you make the choice it will be at least another 15 working days before receiving the payment you choose. If you decide on extra pension you will also get a lump sum for the extra payments back to the claim date.
The process could take 2 months or so after the claim date before things are settled.0
