In my third post the office 2007 ebay sale was backed by disk, saying that my disk drive doesn't appear to work, so I thought if its backed by disk, well I thought it was more legit. But i'll read your links re OEM licenses.

And none of them are 100% compatible with Excel functionality which the OP requires, even the MS Online ones only carry a subset of functions.

If you use Excel to any level beyond basic or low intermediate, especially if using macros etc, you need to be using Excel, not something which is "mostly" compatible.

I bought some licences from scdkey which were really reasonable. However these are for older versions of office. But they do what I need them to do
