He's he damaged anything else?
Again is he the registered keeper?
What's the date of the nip?
Is it a reminder?
Without an accident he can't be convicted of careless.0 -
What did he actually hit?0

Doesnt say anything about offences or failing to stop , he was there for a good half hour waiting for his mum to come down as he was shaken up and thats why I said there was no policeman ever on site,
Happened 22nd February 2017
He is registered keeper and car taxed and insured
This is the first we have heard from the police since it happened0 -
And the date of the nip?
Is it a reminder?
How long has he been the registered keeper?
He'll need to send off the 172 request anyway as that would be a separate offence.0 -
How long has he owned the car? What is the date on page 2 on the V5 at the bottom? It's just after the Doc Ref number.0

Could this be a prank by mates? if not http://www.pepipoo.com/ may be best for advice0

He bought the car beginning of February and had it sorn
If nip is when it happened 22nd February and police letter sent out on 20th March
Registered keeper since he bought it beginning of February
We have filled in section 172 and sent back.
What can happen - fine ? points ? banned ? or a day course on due care and attention as he is 17 he is really worried as he starts Uni in September and wants his car for travelling0 -
I too was a careful considerate driver in front of my parents. A black dog always ran in out front of me before I crashed unless it was a badger, fox, cat, owl, duck etc. I can't remember how I explained flipping over my motorbike doing a wheelie on a motorway bridge but I calmed down after I rolled my Dad's huge Volvo 244DL. I got to 7pts and insurance was an issue. Oh to be young and foolish again.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0
